Pietro Locatelli's Violin Concert in D major, dubbed 'The Harmonic Labyrinth, is one of the most fiendishly difficult pieces of music ever written for the violin.

The original manuscript for the concerto is was inscribed with'Facilis aditus, difficilis exitus', which means 'easy to enter, difficult to exit.'

Recorded during the ACO's 2017 ACO Soloists tour, this 19-minute performance showcases Satu's virtuosity in a fierce test of physical and mental focus.

ACO Principal Cello Timo-Veikko 'Tipi' Valve plays Jack Symonds' Cello and Orchestra arrangement of Debussy's Sonata for Cello and Piano during our 2017 ACO Soloists tour. In this performance Tipi is playing a 1616 Brothers Amati Cello, which is owned by the ACO Instrument Fund.
